Obituary of Bela Karolyi

Bela Karolyi, 80, of Toms River, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Hungary, Bela came to America in 1956. He resided in Bergen County before moving to Toms River. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband and father who will be dearly missed.B He is predeceased by his parents, Demetri and Anna Karolyi; his daughter, Kathy Riccardi; son-in-law, Mike Riccardi; sister, Magda Hutchneider; and niece, Maria Morelos. Bela is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Hortenzia Karolyi; sons, William Karolyi, Michael Karolyi, Tony Bartos and his wife Patty, Zoly Bartos, and Lotsy Bartos and his wife Debbie; daughters, Donna Barritta and her husband Johnny, and Violet Lugo and her husband Ralph. He is also survived by several, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm, Thursday at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. Toms River. Funeral services will be offered 9:30 am Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
