Theresa Richardson, 71 of Berkeley Township, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home. Theresa was a supervising Library Assistant with the Ocean County Library where she worked for 30 years before retiring in 2012. During her time with the library, she was awarded the first ever Support Staff Person of the year award. She was also the founder and president of the Ocean County Library Employee Association for over 30 years. In 1965, Theresa won a beauty pageant and was crowned Snowball Queen. She was an avid Bruce Springsteen and Yankee fan, but most of all, loved being a Grammy and a Mom. Born in Newark, NJ, she lived in Vernon, NJ before moving to Berkeley, NJ in 1982.
Theresa was predeceased by her parents Edward and Doris Quinn.
Theresa is survived by her son, Christopher Richardson and his wife Amanda of South River, NJ; daughter Jaime Erin Cestare and her husband Michael of Barnegat, NJ; grandchildren Corie-Anne Richardson, Jackson Cestare, Rylie Erin Cestare; brothers, Edward Quinn and his wife Joan of Mt. Juliet, TN and Thomas Quinn and his wife Cynthia of Garwood, NJ; and nieces, Jessica Skabich, Kelsey Erin Quinn and Maura Erin Quinn.
Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be offered 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church, 685 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.
