Louis Zuffanti, a retired train engineer and resident of Manchester, NJ, died unexpectedly on December 1, 2019 at the age of 59 in a car accident.
Louis is survived by his wife, Maria Zuffanti; his children, Monique Cabrera (Marco) of Howell, NJ and Lindsay Zuffanti (Brian) of Old Bridge, NJ; his grandchildren Kylie Cabrera and Juliet Cabrera; his siblings Sandra Sullivan, Anna Zuffanti, Louise Cach, Josephine Collins, Linda Bartush, Rosemary Pierce, Darlene Zuffanti, and Charles Zuffanti.
Louis was born in Jersey City on October 5, 1960 to Joseph and Anna Zuffanti. On July 30, 1983, he married the love of his life, Maria, and was married to her for 36 years. On October 15, 1987 and December 22, 1991 respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful daughters, who were such an important part of his life and whom he always supported with so much love and encouragement.
Louis was a devoted father and loving husband. He was a lively, energetic person who had a genuine love for people. He was a loyal, faithful person and was dedicated to his family. He loved the Lord and would attend church on Sundays with his wife. He enjoyed playing bocce ball and going for walks. He loved music and would sing along and dance to his favorite songs. He loved sports and his favorite teams were the Giants and the Mets. He enjoyed watching western movies and sitting by a fire with his family. He loved to travel, play pool, and poker. He enjoyed cooking home cooked meals every day for his loved ones. Everyone who knew him knew that he would bring so much joy, love, and laughter everywhere he went. He loved making people laugh by telling funny jokes and making everyone smile. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Cornerstone Calvary Chapel at 6550 US 9 Howell Township, NJ 07731 where visitation hours will be from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM and the funeral service will be from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Pastor Mike and Pastor Chris will officiate. The committal service will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums at 1 Honey Locust Drive Lakewood, NJ 08701.
