Obituary of Carmen Sanchez

Carmen Sanchez, born Carmen Zayas, died peacefully in Island Heights , on September 7, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Carmen was born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico in 1914 and lived in New York prior to moving to Island Heights . She will be deeply missed by her husband, Enrique, her three children, Carmen Lydia, Alfonso and Elizabeth; her nine grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren, as well as her sisters, Rafaela and Sophia. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River . A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home followed by burial at Ocean County Memorial Park , Toms River .
