Obituary of Vaughn Silva

Vaughn Silva, of Toms River, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020. Vaughn was born in Newark and lived there until moving to Toms River at the age of 8. While attending High School South, Vaughn was enrolled in the Ocean County Vocational Technical School program where he studied auto mechanics. It was during this time that Vaughn began detailing cars and started to develop a following that included guidance counsellors, teachers and other staff members. After graduating from High School South, Vaughn turned to detailing cars as a full time business. Local residents, doctors, business owners and lawyers alike entrusted Vaughn with everything from their daily drive to the exotic sports car to be detailed. One of Vaughn's unique abilities was that he could recite the make, model, year and color of every car he did for a customer. Vaughn always had a smile, a way to leave you laughing and bottle of windex and a rag to make sure your car was perfect when he left. Vaughn was predeceased by his mother, Alice Turhune Silva.
