I served in the Navy with Joe. He was like a brother to me when we were on the USS Bradley. After 30 years we reconnected and I was looking forward to seeing him at our ship reunion. My condolences to his family, I will not forget him. Here is a picture of us together in the Philippines, he always had that big smile

Our hearts were so sad when we learned of Joes passing. He was one of the kindest people we ever met. Always happy and very willing to help with anything you needed. Joe helped George with computer problems many times. I remember one time, not so long ago, Joe stayed on the phone with George for about 3 hours trying to fix computer glitch!
Wouldn’t hang up til it was all fixed....he was a wiz in the computer world. Our sincere sympathy goes out to Rita, Sara and the entire family. We will never forget Joe Zenna

This is a terrible loss. I will always remember Joe being a great, wise soul and would make me laugh at just about anything.
The moment I met him., he made me feel like family. To know that I was embraced by he and Billy so quickly was humbling.
I think I was one of their best audiences. No matter the joke, I'd be cracking up!! I am forever grateful.
Rita, Sarah and Family - My sincerest condolences to you all.
Thank you for sharing him with the world - he was "absolutely fantastic"
May he be at peace.
Love and Sympathy,
Antoinette Bouza

Joe was such a special family friend growing up on Pelican Island. He was a close friend of my brother Jimmy since they were little boys playing together through being coworkers in the Sheriff's department. He was so friendly, funny and made everyone feel special. I am so sorry for your loss.

Joe had an unbelievable memory, a huge heart, great sense of humor, and the ability to make friends everywhere. The world is a sadder place without him. He will be missed.

Rita and Sarah my heart is broken.
Joe was a very big part of my life. Growing up I couldn’t wait for school to get out because that meant summer was here and Joe was coming down from Newark. Endless days of swimming in the bay, water skiing and crabbing. Then it was cruising in his Datsun 280 Z staying up all night at the house on Pelican Island. As grown men there was no better friend than Joe. He was always there to help no matter what. Joe would give you the shirt off his back and buy you another one to keep as a spare. We raised a few glasses over the years and now there surely are damn few of us left. He was the best friend I ever had.
I miss you Dude. Rest in peace Joe.
