My Daddy would wake me up weekends real early, time for breakfast buddy. He would make bacon and eggs and he loved scrapple and canned potatoes (yuk). We would visit his friend Walter, fish or go crabbing I was in heaven just Daddy and me. After he left for heaven for almost a year I could only eat bacon and eggs, crazy but true

This picture of Billy shows him for the man we all love and knew — a man with a big, welcoming smile and a big heart, a gentleman, friend to all and mentor to many, devoted family man, patriot, a man with a sense of humor and a compassionate heart. We will miss him but never forget him. My heart felt sympathy to Cookie, all their children, grands and great grands.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. Bill was one of the first NCOs I was introduced to when I started as a full-time training officer with the 3rd Battalion, 112th Field Artillery. The memories highlighted in his obituary are perfect and really describe the wonderful man that he was. He was a mentor and someone that I will always remember as soft spoken and the consummate professional. The world lost a great man but heaven is rejoicing by his presence!

I am very saddened at Bill's passing. Having worked with him in the 3d Battalion at Fts Drum and Dix he was always professional and knowledgeable, but after the work was done he was very personable. I didn't know anyone in my unit that knew him that didn't like Bill. He was that kind of guy. Well rounded and a proficient NCO.
He will be missed.
My condolences to his family and I will keep him in my prayers.

I am extremely sorry to hear this. Bill was a colleague and a friend for many years in the National Guard. His help and guidance through the years was exemplary. My condolences to his family, who I know loved him extremely. I'm tearfully sad to lose an "Army" buddy. He was a loyal, dedicated patriot and will be missed by all who knew him. My memories of him will stand out more than ever.

I send my condolences to cousin "Billy's" family (we always called him that). I have such fond memories of Billy growing up and visiting at Babushka;s and Dedushka's house in South River with all the cousins gathering. We would sit on the stairs going to the second floor and giggle and laugh and have a great time. All of us looked up to Billy as he was the oldest.
He and my dad, his uncle - Joe Suskevich, became close in later years, and I remember seeing them sit and talk forever at a family reunion we had one year.
One regret I have is that because of not living in NJ for so many years now, that I didn't have the chance to know him as we got older. He will live on in our hearts forever.
