Jerry was my Boss in the late 70s and 80s while working at St Joseph's Cemetery. Although I had great parents, Jerry showed all who worked for him or with him what a strong work ethic looked like everyday. It did not matter what was happening, you were expected to get up and go to work everyday. If you were not at work, someone else had to do your job for you and that was not acceptable. While still in high school and through college, we all knew if we were home for winter break and it snowed, we all just seem to show up to help plow and get graves dug or filled in. I had a very successful career in law enforcement where I rose to lead and direct teams of people, and I would often refer back to the lessons I learned from Jerry and the boys at the St Joes Cemetery. Thanks to Joe T, Kevin, Steve, Joe, Vince and most of all Jerry our Boss and Friend. The world was a better place with Jerry in it!
