Robert Edward Zech, II, 66, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away on Monday the 17th of January 2022 at his home. Robert (Bobby) was born in Jersey City to Robert and Evelyn Zech on January 4th, 1956. He graduated from Rutherford High School in 1974. Bob went on to earn his BA in English and Comparative Literature from Ramapo College and then his MA in Special Education from New Jersey City University. He worked as a Teacher and Guidance Counselor at Rahway High School for 18 years. Bob’s passion and greatest pride was helping his students achieve success and transition to their journey after high school. He enjoyed art, painting, reading, writing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his beloved family.
He is survived by his father Robert, son Jamie, daughter in-law Kelly, grandchildren Madeline, Dylan, and Chloe; daughter Jennifer, son in-law Otto, grandson Max; sister Kathryn; brother Thomas, sister In-law Robyn, and nephews Ryan and Tyler.
A private tribute will be held with his family.
