I have tried and tried to write a post in her memory but I break down in tears each time. I’m trying again here.
I met Kathy at a dance in Lincroft. We hit it off immediately. It was like I met the other part of me. We liked the same things (except the seafood thing) and had the best vacations. On long drives we would play 60’s music and try to name the record labels and the side B. That was just something special between us. I’ve never found anyone else to do that with. Silly thing but it stays with me.
We would bounce things off of each other and she always had sensible advice that I would consider. I will miss you, my friend. Loved you dearly.

I've tried to write this many times and nothing felt right. I will miss you terribly. I always think of you as I collect small piles of mail on every surface of my apartment and plastic bags under my kitchen sink. But I will also think of our quiet moments together, perhaps not saying much, and still both knowing we love each other a ton. Good bye Nan.

I have so many memories spanning over 40 years of love and friendship ❤️ Kathy and I met through a mutual friend and stayed very close friends for all those years. I was honored to be present at both of her daughters weddings and was fortunate enough to witness her raise these amazing women from the pretty little girls that sat on my lap and giggled to the beautiful, kind, thoughtful, adults they have become due to their mothers incredible virtue. One of my funny recollections of my sweet Kathy was taking her shopping for an outfit to wear to Jennifer’s wedding I tried all day to get her into a dress and she wasn’t having it! Lol we compromised on a pair of black dressy pants and a shimmery top and she looked gorgeous! So once again my friend taught me a lesson.. stay true to yourself and you will always shine! So my lovely Kathy I can feel you shining all around me. I was also lucky that for many many years I was her personal hairstylist so I had the pleasure of seeing her every 6 weeks for a haircut and I always blocked off extra time so we could sit and chat for an hour. I will miss our very special time together but wouldn’t trade any of it in and will always cherish every moment we had. Love and miss you my friend xoxo❤️❤️❤️

Me Kathy and Beth having a great day eating and talking for hours at my house. We always had lots to talk about. I will miss my dear friend so much. That day we went to visit my mom and my mom always called her the shrimp lady as a joke. Me, my mom, and Beth are heart broken. Kathy was as good as they come, generous, kind, caring. My heart goes out to the family.

Just to clarify... my mom called her the shrimp lady bcuz I had a picnic and Kathy had the wrong day. So when she came with this big tray of shrimp and only my mom and I were home I said the picnic was yesterday. The 3 of us laughed and watched a couple of movies and ate shrimp all day. It was the best. So since then my mom called her the shrimp lady. Best lady ever!!!!
