I find myself coming back here. It’s been almost 3 months and it still doesn’t feel real. My grandma was my best friend, and she still is and always will be. I have so many fond memories of her and my family, and I’m so grateful for the time we had together, and all her phone calls and voicemails she left me. I hope you’re playing Skip Bo in Heaven, Gram. Don’t lose too many quarters…

It seems my Aunt Joyce was always in my life. I thought she treated me a little special because she was married to my Uncle Ed, who was my Godfather, but it wasn't only me. Aunt Joyce was good to everyone. I never saw her get mad or upset..we always had a little laugh about something. Im so glad you were a part of who I am today. See you on the other side. Q: What will you never forget about Joyce? A: I will never forget when we moved into the neighborhood Joyce came to my home with the other ladies on the street with baskets of jelly and homemade bread to welcome me. Joyce helped me with my young children and taught me how to be a bit better at organizing my home. We had a lot of laughs during those years Pilar.
