John J. Immersi, (Batman) 69 of Toms River, passed away, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving wife Bridget. For the last 25 yrs John was a true warrior, he overcame many long battles with cancer.

Born in Newark, John graduated from Barringer High School and worked in the maintenance department at the Essex County Vocational School for many years, before moving to Toms River in 1998. He was a communicant of St. Justin’s Catholic Church of Toms River. John was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Sabina Immersi. Beloved son in law to late MAMA!!

Surviving are his beloved wife, Bridget; sons, Michael Monto and Vito Marzarella and wife Danielle; four brothers, Dominick Immersi, Joseph Immersi, Gerard Immersi and wife ToniAnn and Patrick Immersi and wife MaryCarol. John is survived by many loving Nieces & Nephews and great nieces & nephews, and many loving cousins and cherished friends.

John was an avid beach lover. He enjoyed his days sunbathing and taking his loving family dogs Rags & Rocky to the beach. John loved to cook and spend time with family and friends, making his special dish Chicken Savoy!! John was longtime Dallas Cowboy & Yankee fan.

Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 4 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 21st at 10:00 am at St. Justins Church, 975 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
