Obituary of Nicolene Trovato

Nicolene Trovato (nee: Comasco), passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2017. She was a resident of Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville. Known as Nicole, she was born in Montclair, NJ where she attended high school and met her high school sweetheart whom she eventually married. She pursued her degree in nursing and served many years as an operating room nurse as well as in pediatrics and nursing home positions.
  She lived in Toms River, California and Florida. While in Toms River, Nicole later worked for Toms River Regional Schools in a variety of secretarial jobs. Nicole loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trips to Italy. She was always the life of the party and enjoyed music, dancing and singing that reflected her bubbly and positive personality. At home she enjoyed cooking as well. Her cheesecake and homemade pizza were always family treats that everyone looked forward to.
  She was predeceased by her husband of many years, Sam (Santa) Trovato, who was a Purple Heart decorated veteran of World War II having served with both the Marines and well as the Army.
  Nicole is survived by a son, Lawrence of Toms River; two daughters, Caroline Roth and her husband Robert of Bayville and Judith Defluri and her husband Michael of Brick. Her grandsons include Christopher Roth and his wife Vera, Shaun Roth and his wife Amanda and Brent Sindoni, Michael Defluri and his wife Christie; granddaughters Jessie Edwards and her husband Richard and Kelly Trovato and her fiancé Nicholas Safara. Nicole was also a great-grandmother who loved spending time with her great grandsons, Phineas and Weston. She is also survived by a sister, Antoinette Woods as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

  A graveside service will be held 11:30 am on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Joseph Cemetery, 56-80 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ.
