George was my neighbor for almost 50 years; and as I look across the street now, it’s hard to believe I won’t see him. He was always there to help me in any way he could!! A true gentleman in every sense of the word. My family and I will miss him very much!

George, So sorry to read about the loss of your dad in today’s APP. You and I have not talked in a million years but we were friends in Internediate School. I live out west but I was visiting my mom in Toms River this weekend and I saw the name in the newspaper. I too lost my dad at 87, and also in December, but it was seven years ago. It seems like your dad was a great guy and had a good life with a loving family. What more could you ask for? Peace to you and your family. Sincerely, Gary Charmel

Lynda, Deepest condolences on the loss of your dad. There are several similarities in his obituary to me and my dad. My father also played professional baseball and I, too, was born in Highland Park. As to your father, he sounds like he led an active and full life. Regards, Mike Bachkosky
