I couldn’t have asked for a better grandfather. Growing up, my grandmother and he were almost like second parents. I’ll always cherish the memories of going fishing and going up to Eagle Lake with him and Grandma. He was a great role model, and I feel blessed to have had him around as long as I did. Love, Rick

I remember the summers coming to Toms River and fishing on Uncle Joes boat. Caught alot of Fluke fish. Rafting and canoeing with John on the river. Always loved coming to Uncle Joe and Aunt Lois's house. I remember Fang their Weiner Dog from years ago. Visiting Grandma and Grandpa down the street and around the corner. The hot humid summers with fireflies. Was always envious of my cousins big family. Uncle Joe was a lot like my mom. Very kind and loving. When Lynn and I came one year before we were married to visit Toms River and the East Coast Uncle Joe and Aunt Lois let us stay with them. That was very special. Years later we came again, this time married with Bradey, Steven,Kyle and Desiree. That was a big trip for all of us. Just a few weeks ago Uncle Joe called and I called back a few days later. We talked about kids, jobs and life in general. Aunt Lois was on the line too. I know Uncle Joe is with my mom and dad in a better place. Along with Grandma and Grandpa too. I dont know if is heaven, but they are in a great place together. Love always Mark

Grandpa was among the most important people in my life. I’ll always hang on to the memories I have of him. I think of all the times he took me fishing when I was a kid, each time he and grandma took me on vacation, and I’ll always remember visiting his hometown in Pennsylvania. He gave me so much great advice throughout my life. I’ll always miss you Grandpa. Love, Josh

My memories of Mr. Henrich, were of a kind and gentle man, who made me feel part of the family while sitting at the dinner table everyone was to share the highlight of their day, while the others listened. When it was my turn, I was overwhelmed, to think, my voice was important, as I never experienced having a voice at dinner. I think he gave me a pass, but I was so taken with just experiencing that, it has stuck with me ALL these years and brings tears to me eyes, because it was SPECIAL! The care and concern from him, as a father and husband and the interaction of his children, warmed my heart to witness his genuineness, was something I'd never seen before! Rest easy in the arms of Jesus and may Heaven be as Glorious as I imagine and you watch over your family from above. Sweet Journey, you are Loved and will be missed, Joni

Some of my earliest memories include my Grandpa. As a small chiId I remember he liked the black licorice candies that looked so good but I thought tasted terrible. I remember long walks around Eagle Lake and Max the dog. Some of my best high school memories are of rushed but special lunch conversations with Grandma and Grandpa. They were always both so supportive and encouraging. I'm so happy that both my husband and sons had the opportunity to know you. We will miss you Grandpa. Love, Judy, Rob, Ben and Tommy.

It was wonderful having a dad who loved the Lord, my mom, and us.You were always willing to listen and offer your wisdom and advice. You were also ready to do battle with anyone who treated us unfairly, I could always bring a friend home to two friendly interested parents and know they would be treated well. I will always be thankful to the Lord for giving me such a wonderful supportive father. Love, Your daughter Judy
