I was so glad I could attend the viewing Wednesday night and reconnect with the family. Growing up in the 70s across the street from the Texters' was a wonderful time. Bill Texter, had a significant impact on my life and was like a second father to me. Bill's big-hearted and straight-forward character always made me feel like I was one of his kids... in good times and bad. That is a rare and precious quality I will always remember and sorely miss. It seems like a lifetime ago when my family resided in Richmond Hill, NY. The Texters were our neighbors, our friends, a big part of our community. I have great memories of the childhood we all experienced back in RH and many include the Texters. I send my most sincere condolences to the family. Have faith in knowing his soul is at peace.
